Fisdap is hiring! We’re looking for an intermediate web application developer to work primarily with our existing code base. Are you self-motivated? Do you love to learn? Join our highly collaborative, self-directed, agile team in a small enterprise environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build powerful software architecture with us using modern PHP and Javascript practices to deliver rich, interactive user experiences
Contribute ideas and techniques to improve the team and the products we create
Diagnose/debug and resolve issues related to maintaining and updating our existing applications
Provide asynchronous code review of teammates as part of release process

Skills & Expertise

Required Skills

  • 1+ years experience developing enterprise/business web applications
  • Understanding of SOLID object-oriented design principles
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies (i.e. Scrum)
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
  • Passionate and self-motivated
  • Experience working with or developing RESTful web services
  • PHP 5.3+ is highly preferred; candidates with experience in other modern languages (Java, C#, Ruby) will also be considered
  • MVC frameworks
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
  • MySQL (or similar RDBMS)
  • Linux (Ubuntu)
  • Distributed version control systems (Mercurial [hg] or Git)

The ideal candidate will have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Zend Framework 1.x
  • Drupal 6+
  • Moodle 2+
  • Issue tracking (i.e. JIRA) and wikis (i.e. Confluence)
