"A Meta-Analysis of the Effectiveness of Crew Resource Management Training" - PCRF Journal Club

March 10, 2015

Sponsored by the Prehospital Care Research Forum (PCRF) and facilitated by Fisdap, this monthly webinar series features discussions of recently published EMS research.

This month, we discussed "A meta-analysis of the effectiveness of crew resource management training in acute care domains," published November 2014 in Postgraduate Medical Journal.

This was a fantastic discussion, featuring comments from Eliot Carhart, Asst. Professor at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, whose dissertation investigated the impact of human factors training on prehospital medical errors, and Paul Misasi, Clinical Manager at Sedgwick County EMS, whose agency's implementation of a medication cross-check reduced Fentanyl administration errors by 60%.

The PCRF Journal Club convenes on the second Monday of each month.
