Managing Students

Instructor accounts used for managing students within Fisdap are free. You may have created an account for yourself as part of the setup process when your program was first established in Fisdap, or another faculty member at your program (such as a clinical coordinator or program director) may have created one for you. If you don’t yet have a Fisdap instructor account, talk to your program director about getting one set up.

Continuing Ed

Instructor accounts used for continuing education courses require a payment. We offer two courses: Preceptor Training and the Transition Course. If you have permission, you can upgrade your existing instructor account to include access to Preceptor Training. Alternatively, you can take either course on your own by creating a separate Fisdap account with course access.

Upgrade an existing instructor account to include Preceptor Training

If you have permission, you can upgrade instructor accounts within your program, including but not limited to your own account.

  1. Go to the Account tab and click Order accounts.

  2. Click the Upgrade Existing Accounts link.

  3. Click the Upgrade Instructor Accounts link (in the text directly below the Products to Upgrade header).

  4. Check the boxes next to the instructors whose accounts you are upgrading to include Preceptor Training, then choose whether you would like to pay Later (via invoice) or Now (via credit card).

  5. Enter your billing information and click Place order.

You will receive an email confirmation and the instructor account(s) you upgraded will now have access to Preceptor Training. (The instructors may need to log out and back into their Fisdap accounts in order to see the link that allows them to start the course.)

Create a new account associated with your program

To create a new account at a given program with access to either Preceptor Training or the Transition Course (or both), you will need an activation code from someone at your program. Once you have a code, creating your account is easy:

  1. Go to the Fisdap home page, www.fisdap.net.

  2. Click Create an Account.

  3. Type or paste in your activation code (which someone at your program should have provided to you), and click Continue.

  4. Depending on whether your school has prepaid for your account or not, you may need to enter your billing information, then click Place Order. On the receipt page, click Create Your Account. If your school has already paid for your account, you will automatically be taken to the next step.

  5. Enter your profile information, and choose a Fisdap username and password, then click Save & Continue.

  6. Read and accept the User Agreement and click Continue.

  7. You’re all done! Click Continue to MyFisdap to log in and access your new account.
