Create your Fisdap account

Once you have a Fisdap product code or serial number, creating an account is easy.

  1. Go to the Fisdap home page,
  2. Click the Create an Account button.
  3. Type or paste in your activation number, which you should have received from your instructor.
  4. Proceed to either pay for your account  or go ahead and create an online profile.
  5. Give yourself a Fisdap username and password, and you’re all done! And ready to log in.

What is an activation code?

An activation code is like an access key. Fisdap has two different kinds of activation codes. Either 1.) your school has bought the account for you, and you'll go directly to the page where you activate your account or 2.) the school has issued you a code so that you can buy your account and you'll first visit a payment screen.

If you pay Fisdap directly for your account, your activation code will tell us which school you belong to and the account configuration you should get. It's important that you get your activation code from the school since they'll know best which type of account you should order.

Alternatively, if your school has already purchased your Fisdap account, it is important to note that your code is unique to you and can only be used once.

Activation codes are a string of letters and numbers that look something like this: 11-637a09b3f1add-1360

Activation codes use lowercase letters a through f and all numbers. (Hint: if your code has a 0, it’s a zero, and not the letter O.) The dash is also important, so be sure to type that in too.

In this webinar -- our first ever for students -- we introduce you to the two main parts of Fisdap you'll be using during your internship: the Scheduler and the Skills Tracker.

In the Scheduler, we show you how to:

  • find and filter for available shifts
  • sign up for a shift and then drop it if you can no longer attend

We also showed you a sneak peek of the forthcoming Scheduler 2.0, which should be available later this year.

In the Skills Tracker, we show you how to:

  • enter a patient care assessment for your field runs and clinical shifts
  • navigate the patient care form to be sure you're getting credit for your experiences
  • complete a skill sheet
  • complete a narrative
  • view different reports to monitor how you're progressing towards your graduation requirements
  • document skills practice and skill sheets in the lab environment
  • obtain preceptor sign-off on your shifts
  • lock your shifts and get credit for completing your patient care data on time

Additionally, we give you an overview of our secure exams platform and show you how to review your test results and Learning Prescription (a detailed outline of your areas for improvement). We also introduced you to all the great study and practice material in Fisdap Study Tools (available for EMTs and Paramedics).

Once you log in to your account, look for more introductory information in the Fisdap 101 area of the Help section.

I just started using Fisdap - now what?! from Fisdap on Vimeo.

One quick note about this webinar for training purposes:

Since not all school use the same settings or permissions in Fisdap, you may see some variability from how your school uses Fisdap. What you’ll see here is what we think represents the most common ways schools are using Fisdap.
