2014 Virtual User Meeting

Wed, 10/01/2014 - 11:00am - 12:00pm

Each year, at the NAEMSE Symposium, we invite all current and prospective Fisdap users to attend our User Meeting. During this meeting, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, we like to give a sort of state of the union. We cover an agenda of what we've accomplished in the past year and what we're planning on working on in the year ahead.

This way, you, our users, understand what our priorities are and then we encourage you to share your thoughts and opinions on what you think we should be working on.

Introducing the Fisdap App - August WebinarBy Mike Mayne

September 5, 2014

Coming soon, in beta, for iPhone or Android: the first ever Fisdap app! For our August webinar, we bring you a sneak peek at our designs and plans for release.

We're excited to show you our preliminary designs for the Fisdap app and tell you more about our beta plan, which is to release a lightweight version of the Skills Tracker and then make frequent updates and enhancements based on user feedback. We feel this will be a quicker way to make an app available to you and your students even if it doesn't have 100% of the capability of the Fisdap website from Day 1.

Lab Skills Refresher By Rachael Rosen

July 24, 2014

Our July 23 webinar focused on how to implement Lab Skills in your program's Fisdap account.

Lab Skills (or Lab Practice) is a section of the Skills Tracker that enables you to set goals and track students’ progress toward skill acquisition when they’re in the formative stages of the program.

Lab skills are tracked differently from lab and clinical skills. Lab skills are tracked in a separate interface and do not necessarily include the full patient assessment or narrative that students document for their field and clinical internships.

Lab Skills are also completely customizable. In this webinar, we show you how to set up and configure the following:

  1. Lab practice report vs. Grad Requirements

  2. Quick Eval vs. Skill Sheet

  3. Semester 1 vs. Semester 2
